I am a mechanical engineer located in Texas City, about 20 miles south from Houston. I have worked primarily in the oil and gas industry. I am currently an independant contractor doing a lot of lifting certification.

In competitive shooting there is the "bull's eye", which is the "10 ring" and an inner "X ring" which is only used in settling tieing scores. So 10X is the bull's eye of the bull's eye. Many, many years ago when I set up a Hotmail account I selected a username which was taken and it came up with a list of suggestions one of which were 'foley' followed by a random number and letter. I came up with '10x' because it at least meant something.

This site is currently and will probably perpetually be under construction. I created this site for a number of reasons, mostly

• Learn and use web related technologies (HTML, CSS, JaveScript, XML, XLST, etc)
• Have a place to hold reference information
• Show off work my son has done
• Have domain name as a unique identifer for XML schema and namespaces or anywhere else the requires it

This site is primarily for me, but if others find it useful, then so much the better.

The logo is a SVG file I created in the style of my father's first company, Foley Drilling Tools.

The XML files stored on the site are primarily used for local applications I have written or am working on and a prototype of other ideas and applications I have in mind. Since the data was here it only made since to use an XLST transformation to display the data for reference purposes.
